My goal is to take this concept and create an FPS asset out of it.

I'm really liking that turret. I was just thinking that it looks very StarCraft 2, then I saw the concept was linked straight to the StarCraft 2 website.
Are you going to keep it just a hi-res mesh? or you looking to normal map it?

Thanks Casey. I am definitely going to normal map it. Hope to have the low poly built and mapped over this weekend then start texturing.
